situated in the 6th district of paris, under the croix rouge crossroads, this abandoned metro station will offer a very unique experience — at a depth of 9 meters, the platform will house a marketplace, part underground market, part local food court, while the opposite platform, will host a restaurant/cocktail bar. this winning project is developed by the urban transformation investment firm novaxia and the studio same architectes.

‘terminus’ concept by studio same architectes seizes the opportunity offered by ‘reinventing paris, ‘subterranean secrets of paris’ call for projects by proposing a unique experience, focused on gastronomy. cooperative and fun, elegant and educational, the aim of this space is to reclaim the city’s architectural, cultural and emblematic heritage, a parisian metro station.

the north platform

the transformed metro station will offer two concepts: on the north platform, an invitation to stroll — an experiential hall, blending an underground market and a local food-court made up of 4 themed kiosks (café, deli, wine shop, a stall set out around the central counter), offer mostly local products or regional specialties, direct from the suppliers. on the south platform, gastronomy — a restaurant/cocktail bar uses the emblematic products from the market on the opposite platform.
