expressing the designer’s creativity, mclaughlin uses items that would never normally be associated with shoes. from a retro gardener’s bag fashioned into a shoe, to a crossword puzzle strapped over a slider – even with a little light – the peculiar nature of the creations are impossible not to look at. the array of apparel also shows the power of upcycling, as the designer also makes shorts, trousers and umbrellas, all from unexpected items and materials.
